Welcome to the "LAKE PLEASANT" bodypainting webpage.  This is the incredible Gummi from the website www.gummigirl.com .  Gummi's career has included movie appearances with Julie Strain and numerous international magazine layouts including 13 tearsheets from Playboy magazine.  Photographer Don Crossland was hired for this project.  All of the painting and indoor shots were completed at his studio here in Phoenix.  The project took place on an overcast Arizona day in late September of 2001.  This bodypainting took about two hours to complete.  The only two colors used were black and white and they were applied with sponge brushes.  The first part of the photoshoot took place in the studio and then the group travelled out to Lake Pleasant to do the outdoor shoot.  Gummi is very seasoned at getting the pose that you are looking for.  She was truly wonderful to work with and the conversations were a riot.

This painting is part of a series of swimsuit paintings that are being assembled for Swimsuit Illustrated magazine.  The project is being sponsored by Deviant Liquid Latex and they have provided the paint for this session.  The swimsuit consists of about 3 coats of white and a single coat of black to complete the piano keys.  Deviant's Slick spray was used to provide additional shine and to keep the latex from sticking to any surfaces.
